Home Is the Nicest Word There Is
Home is more than where I am. It is essentially the people I find comfort in through the conversations and connections sustained while living abroad. This book features a collection of doors that lead to the homes of my dearest friends living faraway and nearby. Upon request, I had each friend take a photo of their door and send it to me. Each unique door is representative of the emotional space my friends have welcomed me into as well as the personal privately held spaces they reside in. Once unfolded, the book transforms into a commonly used door mat throughout Korea that says welcome.
